Setting Up Light Masts
1. The generator lives in the garage. Site the generator on the floor in between the two masts.
2. You will need to have turned the “Training Lights” (ones that light the U9/U10 and half of the 2nd pitch) on, the switch for these is in the 6/7/8 corridor in the changing rooms.
3. On each mast there are 3 essential controls
a.Mast Raise - black button with a green illuminated centre
b.Mast Stop/Lower button which is red
c.Brightness Dial 0-100%
4. Take the strap off each mast cover and then unzip the cover off each mast and make sure each mast is on 0% brightness. Unwind each cable and plug them into the generator.
5. Starting the generator
a.Turn the dial on the front panel of the generator to on
b.Make sure the red vent on the petrol tank is turned to on
c.Pull out the choke on the side
d.Pull the start cord till it starts
e.REMEMBER to turn off the eco button by pressing it on the front panel
6. The “Mast Raise” button will illuminate green on each mast. Press the Mast Raise button on each mast. They will then make a pumping noise and each will raise slowly, let them do so. They are at max height once the pumping noise stops.
7. Once the mast is at max height, one at a time turn the masts to 50% brightness, the generator will get louder and labour a bit.
8. Wait for 1 min before turning each mast up to 100%
Packing the masts away
1. Turn both masts brightness to 0%
2. Press and hold the red Mast Down button on each mast until both masts drop down.
3. Turn off the generator by turning the dial on the front panel and close the red valve on top of the generator
4. Unplug the leads from the generator, wind them up and hang them on the handles on the masts
5. Place the covers over masts and zip them up, replace the straps round the masts to keep the covers in place.
6. Return the generator to where you found it
Please note that the lights have a sensor for wind and if the wind speed is 45mph or more they will automatically lower themselves.
