Register to Play - in order to comply with our governing body the Rugby Football Union or RFU, every child who is U18 at the start of that season must be registered to play on the RFU’s Game Management System or GMS.

Paying Membership Subs - In order to be a playing member of Ilkeston Rugby Club, the annual membership subscription must be paid for each player. This can be done as a single payment on the GMS or over the bar. However, if you wish to spread the payment over 12 months then this is done on the GMS system only via a Direct Debit.

REGISTERING TO PLAY

SUSPECT YOU ALREADY HAVE AN ACCOUNT
If you are already a player, a parent of a player and/ or have a role within a club, you may already have an account set up for you, either by a club administrator, a family member or yourself at an earlier date. In order to avoid creating a duplicate account, the GMS may say you already have an account when you try to set one up How to Reset/Forgotten My Password process

If you already have an account, then you should receive an email that allows you to reset your password (please check all folders, including Junk/ Spam folders) and therefore access your account. If you do not receive an email, then please continue on to the next steps within this guide.

NEW TO THE CLUB? HOW TO CREATE A NEW GMS ACCOUNT
STEP 1 - Register for an account
From the GMS homepage
https://gms.rfu.com/GMS/Ilkeston
click 'Create New Account'.

STEP 2
Enter your first and last name, email, DOB, mobile number and address, and click 'next'.

STEP 3
If you receive an error message then you most likely already have a GMS account. To gain access to your account, please use Forgotten/Reset my Password process.

STEP 4
To finish making your account, create and confirm your password. Tick if you would like to 'opt in' in the Privacy Notice, review/tick the GMS and login T&Cs. Review your details and click 'next'.

STEP 5 - Adding your child
Once you have an account, add your child to your account on a PC by using the “Add a person” at the top of the dashboard or on a mobile by clicking the double arrow next to your name and using the “add a person” button there.

STEP 6
Some details will be auto populated, such as the same address as the linked adult and you will need to complete the form with the chosen club, playing position, school details, medical details/conditions and Emergency contact.

STEP 7 - Register child to play rugby
Make sure you have selected your child record, then under quick links use “Register a player” and fill out all the mandatory details and click 'Save'. The parent will then receive an automated email confirming completion of the Age Grade Registration request and this will show as amber whilst the registration is pending. Once the Age Grade Registrar approves, it will show as a green active status.

RETURNING PLAYER - RENEWING REGISTRATION
STEP 1
Log into your GMS account https://gms.rfu.com/GMS/Ilkeston
If you know the email address your GMS account is registered to, but not your password, click 'Forgot password?', and enter your email address.

STEP 2
Select the child you wish to renew registration for from your dashboard, PC this is at the top of your dashboard, on mobile these are accessed by pressing the double arrow next to your name at the top of the dashboard.

STEP 3
Once you have chosen the player to re-register, under Quick links find and click the 'Renew Player Registration”  button to renew the registration.

STEP 4
Make sure your registration details are correct and review the consent boxes and waivers.

STEP 5
Click 'save' to submit your Club Registration form. Your application will be sent to the club to review.

PAYING MEMBERSHIP SUBS
If doing as a single payment this can be done with cash/card over the bar at The Stute or online on the GMS explained below. If you wish to spread payments over 12 months then please follow the instructions below on the GMS to set up the direct debit.
